 Mon Feb 27, 5:30 to 8  - Sierra Club Lobby Night in Annapolis focused on Maryland Bag Bill  - info http://maryland.sierraclub.org/events/e066.asp - There is still a lobby night on Feb 27 but this one is largely on the Maryland Bag Bill. They are encouraging people not already scheduled to come on Feb 27 to come to a  larger Sierra Club Lobby night on March 5 that will cover all 3 major Sierra Club priorities - Maryland Offshore Wind, the statewide Bag Bill and stormwater.  Sign up for March 5 here.

Lester Brown will be speaking about "World on the Edge" plus Dennis Meadows who wrote the book "Limits To Growth".   (Co-author, Donella Meadows, who was also very famous, died some years ago of breast cancer).  This is an incredibly rich program.

"The morning session will focus on the lessons of Limits to Growth and will consist of presentations by two of the original authors of the work, Dennis Meadows and Jørgen Randers. Also, Club of Rome Member Herman Daly will give his view. These talks will be complemented by an outside perspective from Lester Brown, President of the Earth Policy Institute and author of World on the Edge: How to Prevent Environmental and Economic Collapse.   The afternoon session will address the difficult challenges of preserving biodiversity, adjusting to a changing climate, and solving the societal issues now facing the planet. "
