Climate Action Plan

CCIHC is working on reducing Howard County's carbon footprint in support of the County's Climate Action Plan.  This plan documents how much carbon the county puts into the atmosphere each year.  Currently the Howard County community generates over 4 MILLION METRIC TONS of carbon each year.  We are putting too much carbon into the atmosphere and the plan specifies goals and actions for reducing this.  You can find more information on the Climate Action Plan at Green Central Station.

You can be part of the solution by switching to clean energy and by getting a home energy audit that will show you many ways to increase the energy efficiency of your home and SAVE MONEY!  You can track your energy savings or create an energy saving team in your school, church/synagogue, or neighborhood with "Repower at Home" or "We Can Save Energy"

Or you can join a Discussion Circle to learn numerous other ways that you can cut carbon and live more sustainably.

Share this information with your friends and neighbors so they can reduce their carbon footprint too!
