Many of us are going to Annapolis for a huge rally to support Offshore Wind Development in Maryland! The Annapolis Wind Rally is at 5:30 pm. beginning at the Annapolis Docks (near the Alex Haley Memorial there) and at 5:45 walking up to a large 6pm rally at Lawyers Mall. We need 100's of folks to convince the State Legislature that the voice of the citizens is stronger than the naysayers and dirty energy proponents! Details here.

The goal: to amplify voices and escalate the movement and stop the Keystone XL pipeline to the Canadian tar sands. The focus is activists undergoing orientation in non-violence and civil disobedience and risking arrest. CCAN staff, board and supporters will be there Mon Aug 22. GWIPL and supporting congregations will have a faith witness on Mon Aug 29. CCIHC founder Lore was arrested on Aug 22. Steve of Ho Co Peace Action was arrested on Aug 29. Our Heroes - thanks! A Howard County contingent cheered on the activists on Aug 29 and witnessed (and videotaped) Steve's arrest, and multiple Howard County carpools attended the inspiring rally on the final day, Sept 3.
